What a good week we had. I guess we are learning to appreciate the days when there is sunshine. The children cant play outside yet but you can feel the sunshine inside.
Something that made us feel so good this week was the letter from the Chaplain of the jail community. He said he was wowed by the cards our children made for those in jail. They were beautiful and we only used first names. The responses from the inmates were so touching. Our cards especially from the little ones, help restore their hopes of returning home someday. Our cards put smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. Our own children need to learn the gift of compassion and mercy. It was such a little thing for them to do but it had a huge effect on those less fortunate.
Lent is going well here at school. We keep losing our Friday masses due to 2 hour delays. So, well try again for this coming Friday. Have good days and be gentle with yourself when you look at the huge piles of snow.
Blessings on your week Sister Coletta |
